About

This group is designed to help students and their parents understand stress and anxiety and learn regulation skills that are important in the school environment as well as everyday life. The children and their families will learn about stress, anxiety, basic brain and body reactions to stress and anxiety, and healthy ways of regulating their reactions (including cognitive, emotional, and physiological regulation).

A group for the children and a separate group for the parents will meet once a week for approximately 90 minutes on Monday evenings from 5-6:30 pm, with Mrs. Meg Kapil, Mrs. Campbell-Elsdon and University of Victoria Counselling Psychology graduate students. The group dates are Oct 16, 23, 30, Nov 6 and Nov 20 and December 4.
